Not the best experience

I popped in for a room and it felt kinda chaotic. No one was acknowledging me while I stood there in my mask — super awkward! I later found out they’re housing people there, which explains why the vibe was off. the coffee in the lobby was decent, but the overall cleanliness could use some work.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement

The room comfort surprised us, with two spacious double beds that allowed for a good night's rest. be mindful of the parking situation and noise from the streets. The local restaurant nearby provided delightful meals which were a nice touch!

The beautiful architecture creates a charming atmosphere, and the convenient parking option is a plus. the room felt cramped with only one side table and limited views due to high windows. The tired condition of the room and bathroom was disappointing, especially with an overheated towel rail making the bathroom uncomfortable. Breakfast served a hot, tasty full English, but broken drink machines and a lack of milk jug added frustration to the dining experience, despite friendly staff.

Great location, but no air conditioning and very noisy at night.

Quaint hotel, comfortable room, with friendly staff and a great breakfast included, providing exactly what I needed for a restful night and a delicious meal to start my day.

The hotel is clean and tidy, albeit a bit dated. Staff interactions were the highlight, especially the exceptional welcome at reception and the attentive service in the restaurant. Dining options were decent, with the local cheese platter standing out as a must-try, though service delays occurred despite light occupancy. Sleep quality was good, but road noise was noticeable at peak hours, which could disturb light sleepers. Would definitely return, primarily due to the superb staff.

I loved the massive room with the luxurious bed and the superbly presented food. The thick-cut bacon at breakfast was a legend! Definitely coming back!

Historical charm with great breakfast

I enjoyed the unique character of the hotel, which reflects its history as a former glove factory, providing a bit of charm. The breakfast was truly delightful, featuring local ingredients that added a special touch. While the location was convenient for exploring the city, the rooms could really benefit from a refurbishment to enhance the overall experience.

Better soundproofing would improve sleep quality.

I stayed for two nights in a Twin Room. The historical charm was evident throughout, with unique decor. Cleanliness was top-notch, and the beds were very comfortable. Ample parking was available nearby, making it convenient. Breakfast featured quality local ingredients....

excellent central base for exploring parks and landmarks

I had a delightful stay with an easy walk to Fort Royal Park, just a few steps away, and the welcoming atmosphere made for a lovely experience, so it was really easy to recharge after exploring the nearby Edward Elgar Statue, which is just around the corner.

I enjoyed my stay at Fownes in Worcester. The room was tidy and had good amenities. Plenty of sockets for charging and a flat-screen TV for entertainment. The breakfast was delicious, made to order with quality local ingredients. The staff were generally friendly, and Harry at reception stood out for his helpfulness. The hotel's location is perfect for exploring the city. the interior decor felt dated, with a brown and beige palette that could use some updating. I noticed the heating was a bit tricky to regulate, leading to a warm room despite mild weather outside. The WiFi connection was spotty at times, which was frustrating. It would be nice to have clearer information about breakfast hours and more engaging areas to relax.

Just a reliable pick for resting at all in Worcester with good value for price. The location was great, but the noise was unbearable. I could feel my room shaking when others used the stairs. Bring earplugs if you're staying here!
